At the 88th Shenzhen CMEF Medical Exhibition, the largest medical trolley manufacturer in China, CORITON Company, released a new economical endoscope trolley, which amazed many domestic and foreign customers because of its price – 1600 yuan. That also attracted the onlookers of multiple peers, they said “the Chinese market is becoming increasingly competitive”.

So in this competitive era, what should we do to adapt?

1- Violent cost down

The simplest and most direct method is to roughly reduce costs, that can drive the entire supply chain. But it may make it difficult for everyone, including suppliers, customers, competitors and also themselves, all of them will hard to make money.

For example, using second-hand recycled or low-quality materials; neglecting the importance of appearance design and directly use the ready-made;  ignoring product burrs and the color difference on the surface; moving the factory to rural area to evade taxes; these These roughly methods can indeed attract some customers who are particularly concerned about prices.

They said using the trolley products that sacrifice quality to win the price war may seem to have saved them costs, but in the end, that have also lowered the brand value of the medical equipment itself.

Medical equipment worth tens of thousands of yuan, this high-value products may result in customers bargaining for thousands or tens of thousands of yuan because of the low-quality trolley. For such products, customers may not have much to communicate with other than bargaining.

Cost down in after-sale service, logistics, labor, certification, testing  may not ultimately save money. Just like the electronic watch market before the Apple Watches Era.

2-Research carefully, roll down wisely 

It’s easy to enter medical trolley industry. If we do not consider the appearance, regulations, and details of the function, almost every hardware factories can produce trolley.
